Rajen Desai MD is a board certified cataract and glaucoma surgeon with Precision Eye Partners in New Jersey. Dr. Desai served as 2nd Lieutenant and pilot in the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary Civil Air Patrol. He earned his MD from Stanford Medical School, followed by residency and a Heed Foundation Fellowship in glaucoma from Northwestern. Given that most glaucoma patients are not ideal candidates for EDOF or MFIOLs, Dr. Desai has become very experienced producing high contrast, glare-free spectacle free vision using the RayOne EMV. Using certain pearls of biometries and titrating no more than -0.6D offset mini-monovision, over 95% of his RayOne EMV patients are free of spectacles for driving and 18" cell phone usage. Passionate about producing excellent surgical outcomes, and teaching others, Dr. Desai received the 2011 Best Teacher of Medical Students Award and the Society of Heed Fellows Award.
